For shows the catalog doesn’t cover, download the episode and Steadcast transcribes it with Apple’s on-device speech recognition. One model download, then it works on airplane mode.

Known rough edges

This is a beta. Precise transcript sync takes about two minutes of listening to lock on, and improves the longer an episode plays. A few older episodes have transcripts without usable timestamps; those open in reading mode. When something looks off, Settings → Sync Diagnostics has a copy button, and we read every paste.
